The re-trial of Adam Powell has been scheduled for October 1st . Powell was convicted of killing his estranged wife, Christina, and her friend Mario Masciarelli in her Binghamton home in March 2013. Powell’s conviction was thrown out because a juror was an employee in a law firm that had done work for Powell in his pending divorce and also for Powell’s parents. Powell was sentenced to life in prison following the first trial.
