The ‘Empty the Shelters’ event is set for Saturday at the Broome County Humane Society. Pets will be available for adoption free of charge, thanks to the Bissel Pet Foundation. All adoption fees will be paid by Bissell. In order to qualify, you must submit an application before the event to become ‘pre-approved’. Potential adopters must also bring a rent verification, as well as verification from a vet that any other animals in the residence are up to-date on their vaccinations and are neutered.
