The New York State Police have arrested 23-year-old Ezra Broadwell, of Ithaca, on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with a domestic assault that allegedly happened at a home in the town of Danby. The incident began during the early morning hours of April 29th and continued until the afternoon of April 30th. Broadwell was charged with felony Kidnapping, felony Rape, felony Reckless Endangerment, felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and misdemeanor Menacing. He was arraigned before Town of Danby Court and remanded to Tompkins County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Danby Court on May 7th. In addition, 54-year-old Kenneth Broadwell, also of Ithaca, was arrested and charged with the felony of Hindering Prosecution. Broadwell was released on an Appearance Ticket. The investigation into this matter is continuing.
