Tompkins County is holding a gun buyback event this Saturday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM at the Airport Fire and Rescue Building on Brown Road in Ithaca. The event was proposed by Sheriff Ken Lansing and District Attorney Matt Van Houten. It was passed by unanimous vote in the county legislature. The event is designed for people who want to dispose of unwanted guns, in a safe and secure environment.
