A Chenango County man, accused of the murder of his adopted son, will have his trial delayed until November. Ernest Franklin of Mount Upton is accused of killing his disabled son and then setting fire to the house to cover up the crime. The delay is intended to give the District attorney time to review an expert opinion questioning the results of the autopsy on Jeffrey Franklin. Earnest’s wife Heather is also set to stand trial later this year.
