The village of Owego is completing final preparations for the 38th annual Strawberry Festival this weekend. The festival begins this afternoon with the Miss Strawberry Pageant at 5pm, Strawberry Shake 5k at 6:15, Wine and Beer Tasting, Stone Senate playing the main stage on the south lawn of the Court House at 8:30, and ending with fireworks at 10 pm. The festival continues Saturday with a parade at 10am. Live music entertainment throughout the day, food, vendors, all the local shops will be open, and of course strawberries everywhere you turn. And new this year: dinosaurs will roam the village. For more information, visit Owego.org.
