The Vestal Police Department is warning of a chimney inspection scam. A company called Breathe Easy Ventilation has been going door-to-door offering chimney inspections. They are also providing work that has had its quality called into question. Police say that the company is NOT registered to solicit in the town of Vestal, and the Vestal Police have been unsuccessful in its attempts to contact them. The police ask residents to use caution before agreeing to have work done on your home or property and never hesitate to call the police department if you feel you are being pressured or illegally solicited. They add that It is always a good rule of thumb not to hire door-to-door solicitors of any type.
