Early Saturday morning, at about 2:40 am, Ithaca Police officers responded to the 200 block of Prospect Street for an intoxicated person who was seriously injured. Upon arrival officers located a male victim with significant head, neck, and internal injuries. The person was unconscious and could not speak to officers to relay how he had become injured. Bangs Ambulance responded and transported the victim to a nearby trauma center. Officers believe the victim was run over by a motor vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.
