A Corning policeman was injured in an altercation with a suspect being arrested early Sunday morning. The suspect is a 16-year-old from Corning, who was walking in the street, believed to be checking to see if cars were locked or not. The suspect ignored police instructions and then resisted arrest. The officer hit his head, when he fell to the ground during the arrest. He was treated and released from Corning Hospital. The 230-pound youth was charged with felony Assault and other charges.
