Governor Extends Disaster Declaration to September 20th

Governor Cuomo has extended the disaster declaration he made following last weeks flash flood event until September 20th. The declaration covers Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Wayne, Yates, and contiguous counties. The flooding has caused significant damage to public and private infrastructure, homes, apartments, businesses and public and private property, and the State’s assistance continues to be needed.
