The National Weather Service has issued an area wide Flash Flood Watch that will extend until at least Tuesday morning. The Watch will cover Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Onondaga, Otsego, Schuyler, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Southern Oneida, Steuben, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, and Yates counties. In northeast Pennsylvania, Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Northern Wayne, Southern Wayne, Susquehanna, and Wyoming counties. The remnants of Hurricane Florence are expected to drop 1-3 inches of rainfall with higher totals possible in localized areas. The Watch calls out a greater possibility for flash floods in the Southern Tier and western Catskills.
