The New York State Police at Ithaca is seeking the public’s assistance. Just after 6:30 p.m., troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle on Enfield Main Road in the town of Enfield. The driver failed to comply, struck a second vehicle and then fled into a wooded area. A passenger in the suspect vehicle is currently being detained. The operator of the second vehicle was taken to Cayuga Medical Center for minor injuries. Anyone that witnessed the accident or saw anyone leaving the area is asked to call (607)347-4441.
