New York State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on Saturday in Oneonta. Authorities responded to State Route 23 around 8:18 p.m. where 45-year-old Katy Doughty from Walton was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said she was crossing State Route 23 near State Highway 28 when she was struck by a vehicle heading east. Officers say the section of the road is not lit and she was not crossing at a crosswalk. No tickets have been issued. The investigation is ongoing.
