The New York State Police in Horseheads are investigating a fatal house fire. Fire and police responded to 541 East Franklin Street in Horseheads at about 3:15PM on Tuesday. First responders located one deceased adult in the residence. The victim has not yet been positively identified. The incident is currently being investigated in conjunction with the NYS Office of Fire Prevention Control and Chemung County Fire and Emergency Management.
