A 39-year-old man from Chittenango, has been arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after a head-on, wrong way crash on Interstate 81 in the town of Preble. State Police responded to the accident at about 4:17 a.m., on Saturday, December 1st. The 39-year-old man was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram, traveling the wrong way and struck a 2013 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 28-year-old Binghamton man. The driver of the Nissan was transported by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for pain in his pelvic area. The 39-year-old was arrested and was not injured. The name of the man was not released. The accident remains under investigation, and more charges are possible.
