NYSEG and RG&E will be in area neighborhoods over the next several months conducting a safety inspection of natural gas meter and service’s to ensure the safe delivery of natural gas to your home or business. The inspections are mandatory. NYSEG and RG&E are required by the New York State Public Service Commission to perform routine leak and corrosion inspections. The inspections will assess the condition of the service line pipe and can quickly be completed.
