On Wednesday Tioga County practiced a Public Health Asset Distribution exercise. This drill was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Public Health, Sheriff’s Office, Information Technology, Emergency Management Services, and Public Works. Public Health Asset Distribution is done in the event of a severe public health emergency where additional supplies are needed. These assets include medicines, vaccinations, and other medical supplies needed for that emergency. New York State can deliver these assets to a secure location in the county within 12-hours and from there Tioga County must distribute them to Point of Dispensing (POD) locations.
