Waverly Police Charge Candor Man with Felony Burglary of Liquor Store

Waverly police recently completed investigation of a burglary of a village business. Waverly Liquor and Wine Store, 442 Fulton St., was burglarized at 1:02 a.m. January 23. Upon investigation , Waverly police have arrested TREMAN V. GILBERT, age 30, of Candor, and a local seventeen year old male for felony burglary.

Both subjects are accused of forcible entering the business,  stealing items and then fleeing the business. Both have been charged with felony burglary, felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor petit larceny.

GIBERT was arrested on February 4 and released on an appearance ticket (per the New York State bail reform)  to answer the charges in the Village of Waverly Court at a later date.

The seventeen year old male was arraigned recently in Tioga County Family Court and sent to a youth detention facility to await further legal action.
