(Binghamton, NY) – Howard C. Knapp, 48, of Endicott, was sentenced to 50 years to life in a New York State prison, after being found guilty by a Broome County Court jury of two counts of Predatory Sexual Assault against a Child.
“Cases involving sexual assault of children are especially difficult to prosecute. I commend the bravery of the victims for coming forward. Thanks to our Special Victims Bureau for working tirelessly to secure justice for the victims,” said Michael A. Korchak, Broome County district attorney.
The case was investigated by the Endicott Police Department. Senior Assistant District Attorneys Sarah Dean, Alyssa Congdon and Mariah Niederriter, of the Broome County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Bureau, prosecuted the case.
