The Elmira Police Department has identified the victim in the fatal shooting at Gush’s Thirsty Bear last week.
According to police, 44-year-old Norman D. Cherry died at the hospital after being shot outside of the Washington Avenue bar at around 10:50 p.m. on Monday, May 21.
No additional information is being released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
