The iconic Owego mural in downtown Owego recently received a facelift and on Wednesday, June 5 the community celebrated the new mural.
Jim Mead and the Early Owego Antique Center in collaboration with the Tioga Arts Council and the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the new mural.
The mural, which can be seen on the side of the Early Owego Antique Center, was restored and enhanced by artist Bruce Grieg and his assistant Stephan Whitman.
The Tioga Arts Council received funding for the project from the Fannie C. Hyde Charitable Trust, Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation, the Tioga State Bank Foundation and the Mead Family.
