The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a registered sex offender who failed to report his new address.
According to police, 37-year-old Kevin C. Shappee was charged with failure to register a new address as a sex offender, second offense, a Class D felony.
Shappee was registered to live in the City of Ithaca, but was reportedly living on a property on Hulbert Hollow Road in the Town of Spencer for more than 10 calendar days without officially notifying law enforcement.
Shappee was remanded to the Tioga County Jail without bail.
