Bath Police arrest woman for allegedly chasing child with knife

The Bath Police Department has announced the arrest of a 32-year-old woman who allegedly chased a child down the street with a knife last week.

According to WENY-TV, the incident occurred on Howell Street near West William Street shortly after 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26th.

Police said the child waved officers down and told them about the alleged incident. The suspect, Elizabeth Walker, was found in the area and allegedly had a knife on her when stopped by police.

After originally being released, police arrested Walker the next day after further investigating the incident.

Walker has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
