Two of the three people who have been charged in connection with the murder of Michael Pruitt in Springfield Township back in March were scheduled to appear in Bradford County Court on Tuesday.
According to WENY-TV, Ronda Parker appeared on Zoom, however her estranged husband Terry Parker refused to meet on Zoom from the Bradford County Jail for a pre-trial conference.
The Parkers have been charged with criminal homicide, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. With the murder charges, both could face the death penalty or life in prison if convicted.
Summer Heil, who police believe was not involved with the death of Pruitt, was charged with tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.
The Parkers will face trial together, while Heil will have her own trial.
On Tuesday, the judge gave the defense and prosecution 45 days to file any pre-trial motions in the case involving the Parkers.
Heil is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 17 for a plea hearing.
