The Campville Fire Department responded to a head-on motor vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred on State Route 17C at Holiday Hill Road.
Firefighters were able to quickly extricate the injured driver and transported them to Wilson Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Traffic was delayed for approximately one hour.
