The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office participated in National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday with the goal of collecting unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
The local sheriff’s office collected 1,025 pounds of unwanted prescription medication on Saturday.
Residents were able to drop off their medication at the Southport Fire Department and West Elmira Fire Department.
