A Waverly man has been charged with driving while intoxicated following several hit-and-runs in the Village of Waverly last month.

According to Waverly Police, 34-year-old Lucas J. Hogan was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and other related traffic charges.

Police said Hogan was involved in three separate motor vehicle accidents on Nov. 28.

Hogan allegedly struck numerous parked cars at the Car-Star Auto Body shop on Waverly Street and then left the scene. Police said he then continued driving through a vacant lot and struck a snow fence on Fulton Street before driving to Broad Street and hitting a guard rail head on at Route 220.

Hogan was taken to the hospital for treatment following the incident.

The suspect is scheduled to answer the charges in the Village of Waverly Court in January.
