An Ithaca man has been officially indicted by a Tompkins County Grand Jury for a single count of murder in the second degree.
According to police, 43-year-old Ahmed A. Abed admitted during an interview that he “intended to kill” his wife.
Abed is accused of attacking his wife while she was sleeping at their home last month.
According to police, the victim attempted to defend herself but Abed took a kitchen knife from his pocket and stabber her repeatedly in the neck and upper body.
Abed is being held at the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
