The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of the man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice out of Pennsylvania.
According to police, 31-year-old Nicholas R. Whitmarsh was arrested on Feb. 21 in Barton.
Whitmarsh fled on foot was deputies arrived. He was taken into custody on Interstate 86 in Barton.
He was arrested as a fugitive from justice along with resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration charges.
Whitmarsh was arraigned and remanded to the Tioga County Jail.
The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New York State Police and the Waverly Police Department.
