The City of Corning has been awarded $480,000 to upgrade its wastewater treatment plant.
According to Congressman Nick Langworthy’s Office, the funding is being provided by the EPA as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act.
The upgrades will help the Corning wastewater treatment plant comply with discharge regulations and improve its overall sustainability.
A total of $841 million dollars has been allocated for similar projects nationwide as part of a federal effort to modernize water infrastructure across the United States.
