A Corning man was arrested in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania in a child predator sting.

According to WENY-TV, Peter Russell has been charged with attempted sexual assault of a child and attempted corruption of minors following the incident.

Russell was arrested after he allegedly tried to meet a teen decoy at a playground. An online vigilante group called 814 Pred Hunters said they posed as a 14-year-old girl.

Russell is a co-owner of a group of funeral homes in Steuben County. In a Facebook post, the Carpenter’s, Phillips and Flint Funeral Homes said they are cooperating with law enforcement and pursuing legal remedies to terminate Russell’s affiliation with the company.
