A Corning Town Supervisor has been arrested for allegedly receiving unemployment benefits she was not entitled to.
According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Jennifer Mullen has been charged with grand larceny, falsifying business records and offering a false instrument for filing.
The charges reportedly have nothing to do with her position with the Town of Corning.
The sheriff’s office said Mullen received over $1,000 in benefits she wasn’t entitled to.
Mullen was released on an appearance ticket and will return to Corning Town Court at a later date.
