Members of the Owego Hose Team recently celebrated the sale of their 1,000th brick for the historic Baker Fireman’s Fountain.
The project began with a goal of selling 100 monumental bricks to be placed on the walkway in front of the Tioga County Courthouse.
Organizers said they have raised over $250,000 since the project began, with the money going to upkeep of the fountain, which was restored in 2019.
