An Elmira man was arrested on Wednesday following a reported burglary at the former O’Briens Inn.
According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, 49-year-old Richard Brennan has been charged with burglary in the third degree, which is a Class D felony.
Deputies responded to the former motel on County Route 60 in Chemung and found Brennan leaving the scene. He allegedly confessed to deputies that he had been in the building and stole items from inside.
Brennan was processed and released to appear in court at a later date.
