Tioga County Fair returns this week

The Tioga County Fair is back and bringing five days of excitement, tradition, and entertainment to the Tioga County Fairgrounds in Owego, from Tuesday through Saturday.

This year’s fair offers a lively mix of agricultural exhibits, thrilling motorsports, local vendors, and the return of midway rides starting Wednesday. The fair kicks off Tuesday with FREE admission for all who wish to walk the grounds and enjoy early exhibits and displays. (Please note: Midway rides will not open until Wednesday.)

“We’re excited to welcome families and fairgoers back for another fantastic year,”  said Eric Johnson, President of the Tioga County Fair. “This event is a celebration of community, agriculture, and summer fun for all ages.”

2025 Grandstand Events Lineup:

  • Tuesday, August 5:
    – FREE Admission Day – Grounds open for all
    – (Midway rides closed)
  • Wednesday, August 6:
    – Demolition Derby – 7:00 PM
  • Thursday, August 7:
    – Broken B Rodeo – 7:00 PM
  • Friday, August 8:
    – Demolition Derby (Encore) – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, August 9:
    – “Out of the Field” Tractor Pulls – 12:00 PM
    – New York Hot Farm Pulling Series – 7:00 PM

Ongoing Fair Attractions:

  • 4-H & Livestock Shows
  • Midway Rides & Games (open Wednesday–Saturday)
  • 4H and FFA Livestock Barn Tours

  • Craft Vendors, Community Displays & More

Admission is affordable and parking is free every day. Whether you come for the animals, the engines, or the elephant ears, the Tioga County Fair is a summer tradition you won’t want to miss.
