The community is mourning the loss of Tioga County Agricultural Society Vice President Charles Truman.
For over a decade Truman served as Vice President of the Tioga County Fair Board, where he dedicated countless hours to support the agricultural roots of our region.
Here is the post from the Tioga County Fair Facebook page on Truman:
“It’s with deep sadness to announce the passing of Charles Truman, Vice President of the Tioga County Agriculture Society or as many of you know as the Tioga County Fair board.
Charlie was a true pillar of our community, leading with unwavering passion, integrity, and loyalty. His dedication to his family, friends, the Fair, and the programs he supported throughout the community was unmatched. Whether through his tireless work, his thoughtful words, or his quiet acts of kindness, Charlie left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege to know him.
If you take a moment to reflect, you may realize that Charlie taught you countless lessons—some you may not have even recognized at the time. Those lessons, both big and small, are part of the legacy he leaves behind. Remember them. Learn from them. Share them with others, as Charlie would have wanted.
His influence will continue to teach us for years to come. His spirit will live on in the values he embodied and the many lives he touched.
Rest in peace, our dear Friend. You will never be forgotten.”
Funeral services are pending at this time.
