Valley native and current Pennsylvania State Treasurer Stacy Garrity has announced she will be running for governor.
Garrity will look to earn the Republican nomination for governor and then face off with current Gov. Josh Shapiro in the general election.
A retired US Army Reserve Colonel and former vice president at Global Tungsten and Powders, Garrity is currently in her second term as state treasurer.
Garrity is a Sayre High School graduate and currently lives in Athens Township with her husband Dan. She serves on the board of the Bradford County United Way and is a trustee of the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.
