On the first day of the 2025-26 school year, students at the Epiphany Elementary School in Sayre were evacuated on Wednesday after a threat was made toward the school.
Epiphany students were taken to the Snyder Elementary School where they were being picked up by their parents and guardians. Epiphany School is closed for the remainder of the day.
Sayre Superintendent Mike Wells said the Sayre School District was operating in “secure mode” and monitoring the situation closely. Sayre students are being kept in the school buildings at this time.
We will provide more information as it becomes available.
