A house was destroyed by a fire on Friday morning in Nichols.
At 11:30 a.m., the Nichols Fire Department was dispatched to the 1400 Block of Upper Briggs Hollow Rd in Nichols for a working structure fire. Upon arrival a fully involved structure was found prompting Incident command to upgrade to the second alarm.
The home was deemed a total loss and the homeowners are being assisted by the American Red Cross at this time.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Tioga County Fire Investigation Team.
