A Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputy has pleaded guilty to child porn charges in federal court.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, 35-year-old Hornellsville resident Stuart McHenry pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor.
He could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
Prosecutors said McHenry possessed digital images of child porn. He also uploaded 22 files of child porn to a messaging app and sent them to other users.
McHenry was placed on administrative leave by the sheriff’s office once the investigation began. Sentencing is scheduled for January.
