The Village of Waverly Trustees recently approved a contract renewal for police body cameras.
According to the Morning Times, the contract with Axon will provide the village police department with 16 new body cameras and another for the village code enforcement officer.
The new contract, which comes at a cost of just over $52,000, will run through the fall of 2030.
The village will receive a credit of just over $37,000 from a previously awarded $100,000 grant.
In total, the contract shows a net savings of just over $64,000 through 2030.
