Three people have been charged following an attempted larceny at the Best Buy Distribution Center in the Town of Nichols.
According to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Bronx resident Noel C. Guadalupe, 30-year-old Stroudsburg, Pa. resident Nikoly D. Da Silva and Mount Vernon resident Tyquan S. Jacobs were charged with felony grand larceny in the third degree and fourth degree and felony criminal mischief.
Guadalupe was also arrested as a fugitive from justice out of Pennsylvania for previously violating conditions of parole.
The suspects are accused of entering the perimeter fence of the business on Sept 8, forcibly gaining access to a storage trailer and stealing property. They also allegedly removed and staged additional property from the trailer with the intent of stealing it.
Jacobs and Da Silva were arraigned and released, while Guadalupe was remanded to the Tioga County Jail to await extradition to Pennsylvania.
