A Rochester man was arrested in Ithaca after law enforcement found a stolen car last week.
A Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputy received a Flock Safety alert of a stolen vehicle entering the City of Ithaca on Tuesday, Sept. 23rd.
Sheriff’s Deputies and Ithaca Police Officers found the vehicle in a restaurant parking lot on Elmira Road. The suspect attempted to flee in the vehicle but officers blocked him in.
The suspect then fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended.
The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Clayton A. Stone. He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a controlled substance and obstructing governmental administration.
Stone also had an active warrant from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and pending charges from the Rochester Police Department related to an alleged stabbing.
