Binghamton man pleads guilty to drug charge

A Binghamton man pleaded guilty in Broome County Court to possessing drugs with intent to sell them.

According to the district attorney’s office, 40-year-old David Tyner pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a controlled substance in exchange for five years in state prison.

The guilty plea comes after he was arrested in July following a traffic stop in Binghamton.

Officers found more than an eighth of an ounce of meth on Tyner.

He will be sentenced on Nov. 27th.
