Car, tractor trailer involved in accident on 220

A car accident shut down Route 220 in Ulster for hours on Wednesday evening.

According to the Ulster Shesehquin Fire Association, the accident occurred at around 8 p.m. and involved a car and tractor-trailer both hitting a down tree in the roadway.

First responders arrived and found no injuries or entrapment.

The roadway was shut down for approximately two hours while waiting for Pennsylvania State Police crash investigation and wrecker services.

The North Towanda Fire Department also responded to the scene.
