A Spencer man is facing a felony charge after he allegedly violated an order of protection.
According to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Phillip Ryan has been charged with criminal contempt in the first degree.
An investigation revealed that Ryan violated the conditions of a “Stay Away” order by electronic communications with the protected party.
According to police, the substance of the communications led to the protected party to fear for their safety.
The suspect was arraigned and held on bail.
