A winter storm warning remains in effect until 8 am Thursday for the Central Southern Tier of New York and Bradford County Pennsylvania. Heavy snow, accumulating from 8 to 14 inches is possible according to the National Weather Service. Snow will continue into the evening hours today and will be heavy at times, tapering off by Thursday morning. Temperatures will hover right around 30. Heavy snow and poor visibility will make for potentially dangerous travel today through much of tonight. Roads likely will be snow covered and slippery. A winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
