Recovery operations were suspended Tuesday in the search for a man that jumped from the Court Street Bridge in Binghamton Monday evening.
The cold, fast moving river was deemed too hazardous for rescue crews.
A helicopter also participated in Tuesday’s unsuccessful search.
Emergency crews believe the man could not have survived more than 10 minutes or so in the frigid water.
The identity of the man is known to police, but his identity has not been made public.
Firefighters and water rescue teams from Binghamton, Johnson City, Vestal, Endwell and Endicott participated in the operation.
