A Van Etten man will spend time in state prison after pleading guilty to a drug charge in October.
According to the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office, 50-year-old Robert J. Durfey was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in state prison for the crime of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a Class C felony.
Durfey was arrested following a traffic stop in March of last year. New York State Troopers found meth in his car.
He will serve two years of post-release supervision following his prison term.
