The Owego Town Council is moving forward with plans for $9 million dollars in upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant off Taylor Road.
The majority of the project will be paid for through grants with $6 million dollars in funds already secured.
The remaining $3 million dollars will be covered by capital improvement reserves.
Construction will likely begin in 2027 and work will continue into 2028.
